Reading Co-operative Bank deploys DataMotion's SecureMail for email protection

BBR Staff Writer Published 29 April 2011

Massachusetts-based community bank Reading Co-operative Bank has selected DataMotion's cloud-based email encryption technology solution, SecureMail, to protect sensitive emails and file attachments.

DataMotion said SecureMail will enable the community bank to safely exchange email with all constituents - board members, the federal deposit insurance corporation (FDIC), the federal reserve and customers - replacing traditional methods like postal mail, fax, overnight couriers and unsecured email.

Reading Co-operative Bank senior vice president, CFO and treasurer Anthony Patti said with SecureMail, the bank is assured that all of the emails that contain sensitive information are secure -- without managing encryption keys, user names or even passwords.

"The technology is easy to use for our employees as well as our board members. We've had such tremendous success using DataMotion's SecureMail that we are considering expanding the technology to our lending and operations groups," Patti said.
